Job Advertisement: Full-Time English Teacher – Alternative Provision (Key Stage 4)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and fully qualified English Teacher to join a dynamic alternative provision school in Liverpool. This full-time position offers the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment, tailored to meet the needs of Key Stage 4 students who may face challenges in mainstream education. The ideal candidate will possess an English specialism and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to Key Stage 4 students.
  • Develop and implement creative strategies to support student learning and progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes resilience and success.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Fully qualified teacher status (QTS) with a specialism in English.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 4 students, ideally in alternative provision or similar settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with students.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
