Position: Teacher in Childcare
Location: Northampton
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Childcare teacher to work in one of our clients colleges in Northampton as of September 2024. The College are based in the heart of Northampton, located on a large campus with excellent facilities for teaching and learning. They have been awarded with a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Childcare Studies to a diverse group of students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials to reflect current industry standards and best practices.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students, helping them achieve their educational and career goals.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to facilitate learning and improvement.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Childcare, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Childcare Studies or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development theories and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
