Year 5 Teacher – Primary School, Burnley

Start Date: January 2024
Contract: Fixed-term, 2 terms (until July 2024)
Location: Burnley, Lancashire

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Year 5 teacher to join our vibrant primary school community in Burnley starting in January. This role is ideal for a teacher with solid Key Stage 2 (KS2) experience who is committed to nurturing students' academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum, promoting a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to maintain a cohesive and continuous learning experience across the school.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to ensure effective communication about student progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in KS2, ideally in Year 5.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, assessment methods, and classroom management techniques.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
