Job description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in children's lives? Do you have the dedication, patience, and skills to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a nurturing primary school environment?

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a school in the M24 area looking for a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated and friendly team this Summer Term 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to supporting children with a range of needs to reach their full potential.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, under the guidance of the SENCO and class teachers

  • Adapt and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

  • Assist with personal care and physical needs when required

  • Support children’s social, emotional, and mental health development

  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure high-quality provision

What We’re Looking For:

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent

  • Proven experience working with children with SEN in a school setting

  • Strong knowledge of a range of special educational needs, such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or SEMH

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A calm, compassionate, and flexible approach

  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
