SEN Teaching Assistant

Here at Teaching Personnel, we work with many fantastic schools in the West London area including mainstream and Catholic Primary schools. There is a high demand for Teaching Assistants in those schools, but most roles involve supporting children with SEN. The level of support is different for each child depending on their circumstance, your role could involve one to one support, personal care, intervention sessions all of which would be confirmed before the placement.

A successful candidate must be committed and passionate about children’s education and be able to overcome challenging situations so that the child they are working with will still have the opportunity to achieve their best in their academic journey.

When working with children with SEN it is highly desirable that a candidate have experience working with children and has a high knowledge of SEN so they can get the most out of their role and be fully involved with the children in the classroom.

What Teaching Personnel looks for:

  • Experience in childcare/working with children/education
  • Enhanced DBS certificate
  • Safeguard training
  • CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent (desirable)
  • High knowledge of SEN
  • Completion of SEN courses e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language needs (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
