Sporty Teaching Assistant 

Location: Bath (BA2) 

Position: Full-time, Year 9 Students 

Daily Rate: £89 – £110

We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Sporty Teaching Assistant to support and nurture a small group of Year 9 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. These students may face challenges such as disruptive behaviour, anxiety, depression, emotional detachment, and occasional outbursts of anger. As a result, effective behavioural management and a compassionate approach are essential for this role. 

 

Position Details: 

• Start: Post Easter Half Term, continuing until the end of the academic year 

• Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week 

• Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM 

• Location: Bath 

• On-Site Parking: Available 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Support the classroom teacher in delivering the curriculum to students in both small groups and one-on-one settings. 

• Work collaboratively with other teaching assistants to guide the learning and development of 8-10 students. 

• Build positive, supportive relationships with both students and faculty. 

• Foster a motivating environment that encourages student engagement and growth. 

  • Utilise your sport methods and experience and apply it to the education sector. 

  • Develop Life skills, the abilities that help individuals deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life, encompassing areas like communication, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.   

 

What We’re Looking For: 

• Prior sports coaching experience is highly desirable. 

• Strong behavioural management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students. 

• Experience working with challenging behaviours, either in young people or adults, is a plus. 

• A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed. 

  • Someone with life experience, experience that they can use to apply with their skill set to the development of the children.
