Sport & Behaviour LSA

Full Time

1 year contract (Sept 2024 – July 2025)

West Cardiff

Pay from £420/week.

A large and diverse Additional Needs Provision in the West of Cardiff is looking to take on a new Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support their pupils with Autism, ADHD, and Challenging Behaviour. The team are specifically looking for someone with a sports background, as the pupils that you will be working with are sporty, and benefit from a curriculum of outdoor learning, sports-based activity, and adapted lessons.

The base is looking for an individual with a background in sports, whether this is a Sports Degree, Coaching/Playing experience or even just a strong interest! Prior experience with Additional Needs is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided. You will need an Enhanced Child Only DBS (update service registered) and EWC registration are also required, along with a background/interest in sport.

 

** The team at the provision are looking for this person to take on a 1-year initial contract, with the opportunity to take on a permanent contract upon completion of this. This would be suitable for anyone taking a year away from university, a recent graduate, or anyone else looking to pursue a career working with young people **

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
