Speech and Language Therapy Assistant
Location: Everton, Liverpool
Hours: Full-time (Term time only)
Salary: £13.50 - £14.00 / Hour
Are you passionate about helping children achieve their full potential? Do you want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners? A Primary School in Everton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) in delivering tailored therapy sessions.
- Support children with speech, communication, and language needs (SCLN) in the classroom and small group settings.
- Develop and implement engaging strategies to enhance communication skills.
- Record and monitor pupils' progress in line with therapy goals.
- Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to support holistic development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children, ideally in an educational or therapeutic setting.
- Knowledge or interest in speech and language development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, creative, and empathetic approach to working with children.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable:
- Relevant qualifications in speech therapy assistance, childcare, or education (although not essential — training will be provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
