SEN Teacher – Maternity Cover

Location: Southampton
Contract Type: Maternity Cover

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team for a maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment, helping students with a variety of learning needs reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support and teaching to students with SEN.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons, ensuring that the needs of all students are met.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCO, and parents to track student progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic development of all students.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEN.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and ensuring that all students thrive.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
