Teaching Personnel is seeking specialist teaching assistants in Cardiff to assist students with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and mental health issues. The full-time position requires supporting individual students with their daily routines, engaging them during the school day, and aiding them in reaching their educational goals. Additionally, you will help identify students' triggers and apply de-escalation techniques as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
A Sociology or Criminology degree
Excellent behaviour management skills
Good communication, and a passion for helping others.
You will be asked to report regularly on pupils' behaviours and achievements and be open to training in Team Teach and Manual Handling. This role is a great opportunity for recent graduates to apply what they've learned in their studies and contribute to the development of special needs pupils. The pay starts at £12.90 per hour and is negotiable based on experience and performance.
