SEND Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an "outstanding" school located on the outskirts of South Bristol that is looking for a par time teaching assistant to join them from January.
About the role:
Working on a general cover basis in KS2,
Working 1:1 with a child with an ADHD diagnosis,
Forming positive relationship and responding to the child's needs as appropriate,
Supporting the child to integrate and participate in class activities,
Breaking down the task to make it accessible,
Supporting the pupil at lunchtime.
About you:
Must be confident in demonstrating appropriate skills,
Recent child-based experience,
Experience of working in a primary school is desirable but not essential,
Experience of working with children with SEND is desirable but not essential,
Be able to use your own initiative and be proactive in carrying out tasks,

This assignment is temporary to start with but has the potential to go permanent after 20 weeks of being placed (based on school requirements).
In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
