Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a full time Teacher in a school in South Shields to work with their SEND pupils. The class consistst of 10 pupils with 3 LSA's to support throughout the day. The role will begin in September and firstly run up until October Half Term with the potential of carrying on further. The role will require someone with bast amounts of SEND experience and someone confident dealing with challenging behaviours. The pupils will need someone whi is comitted to the role and able to provide consistency and a positive learning environment. 

What will the job involve?

  • Delivering lessons set by the class teacher
  • Manage class behaviour
  • Confidence in delivering lessons that will cover a range of subjects
  • Ensure the learning environment is positive and safe
  • Make learning engaging for the children
  • Experiencing a range of schools in the local area
  • SEN experience and confident dealing with challenging behaviour

Essential requirements and qualifications needed:

  • Qualified Teaching Status QTS or equivalent
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to work check

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
