Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
Location: Northampton, UK
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SENCO to join our team and lead our efforts in supporting students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEN.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of teaching assistants and support staff.
- Work closely with teachers to ensure that they have the necessary training and resources to support students with SEN.
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and school policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognized SENCO qualification.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality within the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
