Location: Ightenhill, Burnley
Hours: Part-Time (2-3 days per week)
Salary: Based on experience
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our supportive team at a friendly and inclusive primary school in the Ightenhill area of Burnley. This is a part-time role that requires someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the provision for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across the school.
- Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to support individual pupil learning and well-being.
- Develop and implement SEN policies and strategies in line with statutory requirements.
- Monitor and assess the progress of pupils with SEN, ensuring they receive appropriate support and resources.
- Provide training and guidance for teaching staff on SEN best practices and interventions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it.
- Proven experience in working with children with SEN.
- Excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
