The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate SENCO to lead and develop our provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate SEND provision across the school.

Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils with SEND.

Develop and implement effective strategies to support children with a range of learning needs.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.

Lead and manage a team of support staff, providing training and guidance where necessary.

Ensure that Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are effectively implemented and reviewed.

Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to embed inclusive practices throughout the school.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant SENCO qualification (or a willingness to complete the NASENCO qualification).

Experience working with children with SEND in a school setting.

A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current educational legislation.
-
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
