SEN Tutor

Job Title: SEN Tutor

Job Duties:

• Provide one-on-one tutoring and support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
• Implement specialised teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles
• Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support student learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience working with students with SEN
• Knowledge of SEN legislation and best practises
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching or tutoring students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of different learning needs and abilities
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student requirements
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
• Experience using assistive technology to support learning

Working Conditions:

• Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
• Potential for remote or online tutoring
• Competitive rate of £20 - £30 per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
