Job description
Job Title: SEN Tutor
Job Duties:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a range of subjects.
- Develop and implement individualised education plans based on students' needs and abilities.
- Assist students with learning difficulties or disabilities to achieve their learning goals.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit the learning styles of each student.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to parents and teachers as required.
Required Qualifications:
- A relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS.
- Experience working with students with SEN.
- Knowledge of different learning needs and strategies to support students effectively.
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience working as a tutor or teacher, preferably with SEN students.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN legislation and best practises in SEN education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in specific SEN areas such as autism, dyslexia, or ADHD.
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time hours, flexible schedule.
- Work may take place in schools, educational centres, or student homes.
- Potential travel within the Oxfordshire area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
