Job Advert: SEN Tutor – Reading/Swindon Area
Location: Reading or Swindon
Salary: £20-£30 per hour
Contract: Flexible Hours
Are you a passionate and dedicated tutor with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Tutor to work with students in the Reading or Swindon area. This role is perfect for individuals who have a strong understanding of supporting students with a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for assessing students' needs, planning tailored learning sessions, and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons. The ideal candidate will have a patient, compassionate approach and the ability to adapt teaching methods to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Assess individual learning needs and create personalised education plans.

Plan and deliver one-to-one or small group tuition tailored to the specific needs of students with ASD, ADHD, and other SEN needs.

Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies as required.

Provide a supportive and encouraging environment to build students' confidence.

Communicate with parents or guardians to provide regular updates on student progress.
Requirements:

Experience working with students with SEN, particularly those with ASD and ADHD.

Proven ability to assess and plan educational sessions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A compassionate and patient approach to tutoring.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., SEN-related qualifications or teaching experience) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
