JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Tutor

Location:

South East England, Surrey, Guildford

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

Salary:

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

• Provide tailored support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Create individualised learning plans to cater to each student's specific requirements
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' understanding and progress
• Assess student's progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Collaborate with other educators and professionals to ensure holistic support for students

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant experience working with individuals with SEN
• Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Prior experience working in a similar role with SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of SEN principles and best practises
• Ability to create and implement effective learning plans
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in SEN education or related field
• Experience with different types of SEN, such as autism or dyslexia
• Training in behaviour management techniques

Working Conditions:

• Part-Time hours, temporary position
• Work in a classroom or educational setting
• May require travel to different locations within South East England
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
