Job description

TP Tutors have an exciting opportunity to work with the Local Authority within the Daventry area who are seeking passionate Tutors in both English and Maths who are looking to support children to maximise their potential across both subjects.

This role requires an individual to work closely with a young child in a bespoke learning pod. This child has complex SEN needs so looking for tutor with previous experience working with SEN/SEMH.

This role will require:

  • Planning, creating and teaching engaging sessions.
  • Providing constructive feedback, tracking pupil progress and planning their next steps.
  • Implementing behaviour strategies to ensure all children are focused in sessions.
  • Being aware of children’s needs and interests.

Tutor Requirements:

  • Professional Teaching Qualification are preferred (Qualified Teaching Status, QTS)
  • Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.
  • An Enhanced Child Workfoce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).
  • Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10 year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
