Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated KS3 English and Maths SEN Tutor to join our team in Dagenham, Greater London. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing specialised support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans for students with SEN
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in English and Maths
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff to create a supportive learning environment
  • Provide regular feedback to students, parents, and school staff on student performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Previous experience working as a SEN Tutor or in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching methods and strategies
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Proficiency in English and Maths curriculum at Key Stage 3 level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or certification in SEN education

Working Conditions:

This position involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The tutor will work to support the academic development of students with SEN in English and Maths, in learners homes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
