SEN Tutor
Job description
Are you a passionate and experienced tutor looking to make a real impact on students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking dedicated SEN Tutors in Colchester to provide tailored support in Maths, English, and Science at all levels.
About the Role:
- Deliver engaging, personalised lessons in Maths, English, and Science to students with SEN needs.
- Work with learners across different levels, adapting teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles.
- Provide both in-person and remote tutoring, depending on student requirements.
- Foster confidence, motivation, and a positive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Qualified or experienced tutors with a strong understanding of SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities).
✔️ Expertise in Maths, English & Science (KS1-KS4, potentially A-Level).
✔️ Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the unique challenges SEMH students may face.
✔️ Experience working in schools, PRUs, or alternative education settings (preferred but not essential).
✔️ Ability to create individualised learning plans and support students' emotional well-being alongside their academic progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
