Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant – SEMH Focus
Location: Croxteth (L12)
Start Date: May 2025 / Duration: Until the end of the academic year
Hours: 8:45am – 3:15pm (Monday to Friday)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and skilled Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant, with a particular focus on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), to join a well-regarded Primary School in Croxteth (L12). This is a longer-term role, beginning in May and continuing until the end of the current academic year.
The school is seeking a committed and nurturing individual to provide 1:1 support for a reception pupil from the new intake, who requires tailored academic and social guidance.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN, ideally with a SEMH focus
- Strong understanding of de-escalation strategies and behaviour management
- Familiarity with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Confidence in delivering regular updates and progress reports to staff and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
