Duration: Temporary and Permanent available
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Wetmouth. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students with complex needs including; SLD, MLD, ASD and ADHD. The school caters for about 60 pupils, aged between 6-18 years. They have small class sizes to be able to maximise helping the pupils acheive their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with a range of special educational needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
- Encouraging positive social interaction and fostering a safe, supportive learning environment.
- Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to monitor and record student progress.
About You:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic approach with a strong commitment to supporting the development of all students.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A flexible and proactive attitude, able to adapt to the changing needs of the students.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special needs are advantageous, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
