Position: SEN Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Weymouth
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Start Date: January 2025

About the Role: As a market-leading education recruitment agency, Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in primary schools. You'll be working closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and support staff to provide one-on-one or group assistance to children with additional needs, helping them thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring children are engaged and making progress.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, offering emotional and academic support.
  • Adapt resources and teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor progress and implement strategies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all students.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN or educational setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential) or a passion for working with SEN children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
