SEN Teaching Assistant needed for School in Welwyn in September 

Pay: £80 - £95 per day depending on experience and qualification status 

Hours: 8:30 - 3:30/4pm 

Contract: Temp to Perm for the right candidate!

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a female student that is visually impaired. The role is at an Independent school in Welwyn Garden City, which offers a real family feel and great facilities on site. It is a smaller school than the other local school, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable with helping the student with her bags, taking her to lessons and ensuring her learning resources are set up in readiness for each lesson. 

The role requires you to have good communication skills, be resilient and be willing to carry the students bags (somebody without any physical issues that would prevent them from doing this)

The role is open to experienced TA's and also those who wish to start a career within a school environment. It is also open to recent graduates looking for full-time work. 

The ideal candidate will have:

• A kind, patient and pro-active approach with a good work ethic

• The ability to remain calm and professional at all times

• Full time availability (8.30-3.30 Mon- Fri, term time)

• Other relevant experience e.g. Youth Worker, Foster Carer, Child Psychologist, personal experience with SEN e.g. family members

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
