Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Temporary)
Location: Totnes, Devon
Duration: Mid-March start, for at least one term

The Role:

• Supporting students with a range of learning difficulties, helping them to engage with the curriculum and daily activities.
• Working closely with teachers and therapists to implement tailored learning strategies.
• Encouraging independence and social development in a safe, structured environment.
• Assisting with personal care and sensory needs, where required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in an SEN or specialist setting is desirable but not essential. Candidates with transferable skills (e.g., care work, youth work, psychology studies) are encouraged to apply.
• A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to working with children with additional needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
