Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Temporary)
Location: Totnes, Devon
Duration: Mid-March start, for at least one term
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? A dedicated SEN school in Totnes is seeking a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide full-time support on a temporary basis.

The Role:
- Supporting students with a range of learning difficulties, helping them to engage with the curriculum and daily activities.
- Working closely with teachers and therapists to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Encouraging independence and social development in a safe, structured environment.
- Assisting with personal care and sensory needs, where required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in an SEN or specialist setting is desirable but not essential. Candidates with transferable skills (e.g., care work, youth work, psychology studies) are encouraged to apply.
- A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to working with children with additional needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
