Job description

Are you an SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new and exciting opportunity in Primary schools?

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs?

Teaching Personnel have the role for you!

One of our partnership primary schools in Stockport are looking for proactive and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team!

In this role you will:

  • Provide support on a 1:1 and small group basis to children with complex additional needs including Autism, Physical disabilities and sensory impairments
  • To provide support to the class teacher and help to assess children’s learning
  • Help to produce a safe and engaging learning environment for children
  • Offer praise and encouragement to children

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a school/care setting or through personal experience
  • A kind and caring personality
  • The ability to be proactive and show initiative in the classroom
  • Experience supporting with personal care, moving and handling or BSL (desirable)
  • Full time availability during school hours

  • Two previous employment references covering the last two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
