SEN Teaching Assistant (Supply)
Location: Southampton
Contract Type: Supply (Short-Term/Ad-Hoc)
Salary: 13.86 P/H
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and caring Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our school on a supply basis. In this flexible role, you’ll provide essential support to students with a range of learning needs, helping them to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with special educational needs.
- Assist in the delivery of tailored lessons, ensuring students can access the curriculum.
- Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in and out of the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to monitor student progress and adapt support as required.
- Help to create an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Support students with personal care and mobility if necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning and succeed.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) would be beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
