SEN Teaching Assistants Needed – Barnsley & Sheffield
Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our supportive school communities across Barnsley and Sheffield.

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, helping them to access the curriculum and develop essential skills for learning and life.
Responsibilities:
✔️ Providing one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN.
✔️ Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
✔️ Helping to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
✔️ Supporting students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and social-emotional needs.
✔️ Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction.
✔️ Promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
Experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children’s development.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
