Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant work with Teaching Personnel!

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in Salisbury starting on 22nd April 2025.

This role offers the chance to work with students aged 2 to 18 with a variety of learning needs in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a variety of needs, working across different age groups, from 2 to 18 years old. You will help students engage with the curriculum, ensuring that their individual learning requirements are met while promoting a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting students with a range of SEN, including behavioural, emotional, and learning difficulties.
  • Assisting the teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to students' individual needs.
  • Helping to maintain a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Encouraging the development of social and emotional skills in students.
  • Providing one-on-one and group support, ensuring students are actively engaged in learning.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with students with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with children with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A passion for supporting students in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

 

School Hours

Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8.30am to 3.30am.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
