Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant (SEN) – Royston

An award-winning group of SEN schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the permanent team at their alternative site in Royston. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive, dynamic environment where every child’s individual needs are nurtured.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
  • A passion for helping students with diverse needs achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A calm, patient approach and the ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
