Position: SEN Teaching Assistant As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have equal access to educational opportunities. This role involves working closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and classroom teachers to implement tailored strategies, accommodations, and interventions to meet the unique requirements of individual students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management plans.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to deliver differentiated instruction.
• Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff.
• Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive school community.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs.
• A compassionate and patient approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Understanding of various special educational needs and associated strategies.
• Commitment to promoting an inclusive and accessible education for all.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Additional qualifications or training in special education would be advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
