Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant - Individualized Learner Support

Location: Redbridge (Postcode IG4)

Salary Range: £80 - £90 per day (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Display exceptional adaptability and resourcefulness in delivering tailored support to learners with SEN, attending to their unique educational requirements and aspirations.
  • Foster an inclusive and constructive learning environment, enabling students to flourish academically and socially.
  • Employ an array of proven strategies and methodologies, as directed by the SEN Coordinator or classroom teacher, to empower learners, promoting self-reliance and advancement.
  • Collaborate astutely with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including educators, therapists, and parents, to develop customized learning plans and targeted interventions.
  • Diligently document and monitor learner progress, offering comprehensive feedback to the SEN Coordinator or classroom teacher as deemed necessary.
  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to the emotional well-being and behavioral development of learners, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times.

Requirements:

  • Possess a commendable track record of successfully engaging with children or young individuals with special educational needs, thereby enhancing their learning experiences. Prior experience is highly desirable.
  • Exude an authentic passion for empowering learners with special educational needs, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to their holistic growth and development.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, communicating with dexterity and establishing rapport with learners, parents, and colleagues alike.
  • Exhibit remarkable patience, empathy, and resilience, equipping you to deftly navigate challenging situations with composure and grace.
  • Command a fundamental understanding of various learning difficulties and disabilities, showcasing a relentless appetite for continuous learning and adaptation to individual needs.
