Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs? We are an education-based agency recruiting for full-time Teaching Assistants to support students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), and physical disabilities (PD) at a leading SEN provision in Poole.

About the Role:

  • Support primary and secondary-aged students with PMLD, SLD, and PD in both individual and group settings.
  • Provide tailored support to help students access the curriculum, develop social skills, and reach their full potential.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily activities, ensuring a high level of care and attention to each student’s needs.
  • Work alongside a team of specialists and educators to create a safe and nurturing environment for the students.
  • Full-time, long-term positions available.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience working with students with PMLD, SLD, PD, or similar complex needs in an educational setting.
  • A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both with students and staff.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to adapt to the varying needs of each student.
  • A DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or support roles are beneficial but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
