Apprentice Teaching Assistant opportunities in an Outstanding school for pupils with SEN – Peckham

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a primary special school for students with severe and profound & multiple learning difficulties, some with autism. Our main school site is in Peckham. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and happy to help support the students (aged 2-11) with their learning, behaviour and life skills as well as providing physical and personal care where needed.

It is a great school full of happy students and our ideal apprentice will have plenty of energy and a willingness to learn. You will work towards NVQ level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools. We will provide high quality training and will support you to become an expert and valued member of our team.

We are looking for people who:

• Are calm and can maintain a sense of humour under pressure.

• Are committed to working towards their NVQ qualification.

Salary: Intermediate (Level 2) or Advanced (Level 3) apprenticeships Year 1 - Actual £14,650 (FTE £16,348); Year 2 Actual £17,235 (FTE £19,233)

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (term time) on an 18 month contract.

The successful candidate is required to start as soon as possible. (January)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
