Role: ADHD Teaching Assistant

Location: South-East London (East Dulwich)

Contract: Full time

Start: ASAP

Rate: £90-100

Setting: Primary School

We are looking a ADHD Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in South-East London. You will be delivering the best support to students aged 5-11. Most of the students have mild S
EN and are working at a high level. The key aspect of this role is cohering to the behaviour de-escalation methods and promoting positive reinforcement strategies. We want you work to make a positive impact to the schools reputation and success.

The ideal candidate:

Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.

Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.

Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Requirement:

Must have strong SEN Experience (Preferably ASD and ADHD)

Candidates must have a valid DBS certificate on the update service (Not mandatory as we can provide one)

Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
