SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for educators within the Oakham/Rutland Area to work within a SEN school. Do you have experience working within education or with youth groups? Working within an SEN school requires you to be flexible and adaptable in your approach to education due to the nature of the pupil’s needs being varied. A successful candidate will need to have a genuine passion for the continuing learning and development of young people with SEN needs. You will need to be an enthusiastic punctual person and be willing to support students in a classroom based environment under the guides of a teacher and also be comfortable working on a 1:1 basis with students across key stages 2-4. The school is a bright, welcoming and well resourced place however, due to the location there are limited public transportation options and therefore a driving license is required.

About the roles:

• Full-time teaching assistant/learning support assistant
• Supporting students on a 1:1/small group basis or within the classroom
• After the Easter 2023 break.
• Supporting pupils across Key stages 2-4
• Competitive pay rates of £77-100 a day depending on experience/qualifications.

Candidate requirements:

• Experience of working with children/young people either in a professional or personal capacity, or skills which are transferable to this role
• Youth work or care work would also be considered as relevant experience.
• Passionate about helping SEN pupils
• TA qualifications desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
