SEN Teaching assistant wanted in Northolt!

Location: Northolt

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

A full-time role, with the potential to stay on permanently

An immediate start

Pay: £85 - £90 a day (paid on a weekly basis)

 

1)      Summary of the School

The school is a two-form entry school based in Northolt; they are known for having a harmonious school community with good pupil and staff relationships. With great teaching and additional support for children at the centre of their objective, the school is looking for new members of staff that can make a positive impact to students and Downe Manor Primary as a school. This role will allow you to expand your experience as a teacher.

 

2)      Breakdown of job role

The Role

1)      Support Teachers in planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons

2)      KS1 and KS2 support across all subjects

3)      Keen to get involved with all areas including after school clubs, music, or cooking

4)      Support children 1:1 (if necessary)

5)      Working with SEN students

6)      Confident and show initiative

7)      Ability to build and maintain solid relationships with staff and students

8)      5 days a week

 

3) Essential requirements/training/qualifications

  • • A passionate Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with children with additional needs – to work within the school and its SEN unit.
  • • Flexible and be able to work as part of a team to improve the outcomes for pupils.
  • • Able to plan and deliver a range of interventions for pupils to support their academic and emotional wellbeing.
  • • Actively engaged in improving their own skills through seeking constructive feedback.

 

4) Locality of the school

The school is located within the heart of Northolt, a short walk from the bus stop (Gurney Road), which is a 6-minute walk away from the school - so very easily accessible by public transport. The school does have an onsite car park, but spaces are limited so we do advise using public transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
