Teaching Personnel is seeking motivated and dedicated individuals for SEN Teaching Assistant positions in secondary schools across Newport.

Role Details:
- Salary: £450–£500 per week (dependent on experience and qualifications)
- Hours: 08:30–15:30
- Location: Newport, South Wales
- Start Date: April 2025
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils in the classroom, work closely with teachers, encourage engagement, and provide one-to-one support for children with diverse educational and health needs.
We offer flexible working arrangements, including full-time, part-time, and customized schedules to match your availability. You'll have the opportunity to work in various schools and gain experience with children of different ages and abilities.

Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize learning materials
- Customize teaching support to suit individual student needs
- Support and facilitate group and classroom activities
- Ensure students' physical, social, and emotional wellbeing
- Create an engaging, safe learning environment
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
- Minimum qualification: English and Maths GCSE
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential)
- DBS and EWC registration (Teaching Personnel will help you apply for these)
