Do you have a passion for supporting students with special educational needs and are looking for a new role in September?

We are currently working with a secondary SEN school in Manchester to find new, full-time teaching assistants that are looking to build support experience within an education environment. Within these roles, you will work with a team of experienced support staff and teachers to deliver high quality and individualised education to students with a variety of additional needs, from moderate to complex.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with additional needs within lessons and ensure they have access to individualised and supportive education
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups with a tailored approach to meet the needs of each student
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement education plans and different learning strategies
  • Foster a positive and inclusive education environment that ensures all students are supported
  • Monitor the progress of the students within the class you work with and provide regular feedback to teachers, parents and other relevant parties involved in care plans

Experience needed:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in an SEN school but can be in mainstream provisions
  • Experience and confidence with challenging behaviour, knowledge of de-escalation for this
  • Experience with personal care and be willing to do this within new role

For these roles you must be available full time as there is no flexibility to work less than 5 days.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
