Teaching Assistant – SEN 1:1 Support in Maidstone

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils in schools across Maidstone.

Position Details:

• Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 support)
• Location: Maidstone, Kent
• Availability: Full-time and part-time roles available

Your Role:
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide personalized support to students with additional needs, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Adapt teaching resources and strategies to meet individual learning plans.
• Assist with classroom activities and promote a positive learning environment.
• Support students with communication, sensory, or behavioral challenges.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to track progress and adjust support as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children with SEN, either in a school, care, or similar setting.
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to adapt quickly and remain calm under pressure.
• An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
