Teaching Personnel are recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to fill a full time role in a single form entry primary school located in Islington. This role would be starting in September and would be a long term position this would involve working alongside a SEN pupil on a 1:1 basis through out the school day.
Position:
· Supporting a KS2 pupil with undiagnosed SEN and challenging behaviour.
· You will work with the Teacher to plan and deliver bespoke intervention sessions to ensure they are reaching their full educational potential.
· Be responsible for the pupils behaviour in class and take them out to the nurture room if necessary.
· Liaise with the Teacher, SENDCO and parents to report progress.
Requirements:
- Have experience working with primary school pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Experience working with EYFS
- Hold either a degree or a teaching assistant qualification
- Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour
- Background in care
- Hold a valid up to date clean DBS check on the update service
- UK address and right to work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
