Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Wellingborough, Kettering, and Corby
Rate of Pay: £85 per day
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting children with special educational needs in schools across Wellingborough, Kettering, and Corby. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with Autism, ADHD, and those who are non-verbal.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to children with Autism, ADHD, and other additional needs.
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Use effective communication techniques, including alternative communication methods, for non-verbal children.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to deliver consistent support.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and report to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, and non-verbal communication needs.
- A caring, patient, and resilient approach to working with children with SEN.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential for travel between schools).
- Willingness to apply for a Child Enhanced DBS and register it on the Update Service.
- Ability to provide references from your two most recent places of work.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
