Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated SEN Classroom Assistant to support a child with special educational needs in a primary school in Hounslow. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with a caring nature and a genuine desire to make a difference in a child’s educational journey.

The Role:

You will be working one-to-one with a child who requires additional support in the classroom. Your role will be to:

• Support the child’s individual learning and development needs

• Assist with social and emotional regulation

• Encourage participation in classroom and school activities

• Adapt learning tasks to suit the child’s needs

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO

• Provide regular feedback on progress and wellbeing

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children (ideally in an SEN or school setting)

• A calm, patient, and positive attitude

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the school and SEN team

• An enhanced child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

Desirable:

• Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs

• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, SEN training)
