Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and welcoming team at a primary school in High Wycombe. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with a broad diversity of severe and moderate learning difficulties, You will be providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with a range of SEN needs.
  • Assist with classroom management and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with personal care and daily routines, where necessary.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to implement individualised learning plans.
  • Foster social and emotional development, helping students build confidence and independence.

About You:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a SEN or educational setting (experience in SEN is not essential, but a desire to work in this area is important).
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
  • A willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
