Teaching Assistant, Learning Support, Behaviour Mentor & More Roles Available
Location: Haywards Heath
Start Date: After February Half Term 2024
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 3:30 pm)
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, and Behaviour Mentors for schools in Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in schools catering to students aged 4-19, supporting their learning and personal development.
We’re Looking for Candidates With SEN Experience
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Ideal candidates will:
- Have experience working with SEN pupils in a school or similar environment (strongly desirable)
- Be confident in providing 1:1 or small group support for vulnerable students
- Have worked as a teaching assistant, support worker, care worker, or sports coach
- Be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping students with additional needs succeed
- Be passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment
- Be comfortable assisting teachers with classroom support and behaviour management
Your Role Will Include
- Providing tailored support to SEN students across different age groups
- Motivating and encouraging students to engage in learning and participate in school life
- Working closely with teachers to manage classroom activities and behaviour
- Delivering 1:1 or small group interventions to help meet individual student needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
