Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with a variety of SEN requirements, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs.
- Work closely with the school’s specialist team to incorporate sensory learning and other strategies.
- Assist with speech, language, and communication development.
- Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Promote independence and self-confidence, helping pupils make positive choices for their learning.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and achievement.
About You:
We are looking for individuals with:
- A passion for supporting children with diverse SEN requirements.
- Experience working with SEND pupils, care experience, or a willingness to undergo training.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, adaptable nature.
- Team Teach certification (preferred but not essential – training can be provided).
