Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school in Hackney, graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. The senior leadership of this school currently have a high demand for SEN Teaching Assistants to accommodate an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) provision attached to the school. This role would span from day-to-day work as needed to long-term employment, depending on an applicant’s requirements. Upon registration with Teaching Personnel, immediate start would be possible. The Teaching Assistant would work on a timesheet basis through Teaching Personnel.

This position as a SEN Teaching Assistant would involve working with groups of pupils. These pupils will range from Reception-age to Year 6, providing an opportunity to develop as an educator. The experience of incoming TAs will be considered when placing candidates in appropriate classes.

This role would involve supporting a class teacher, alongside working with several other TAs in one classroom to provide appropriate support for SEN pupils. Incoming TAs would be expected to be familiar with appropriate safeguarding practices and be able to support their colleagues.

Experience with SEN children is preferable; even more so if with children with ASD. This school’s location boasts convenient transport links by tube and bus and is easy to reach from anywhere in and around South East London and the surrounding areas.

About the role:

  • £93+ per day through PAYE (with no umbrella company or agency fees),
  • Full-time role Monday-Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm paid on a Timesheet basis through Teaching Personnel
  • Opportunity to work with multiple Primary year groups,
  • Seotember start following registration with Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
