SEN Teaching Assistant – Gainsborough
Join Teaching Personnel to Support Pupils with Diverse Needs

Location: Gainsborough
Hours: Flexible, both part-time and full-time positions available
Pay: Competitive rates up to £110 per day, based on experience


About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team supporting a dynamic school in Gainsborough. In this role, your support may be required across various areas of the school, depending on evolving needs. You will work 1:1 or with small groups of EYFS, KS1, and KS2 pupils with special educational needs and behavioural challenges.

This is a great opportunity for proactive, flexible individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced educational environment and foster positive relationships with both students and staff.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to SEN pupils to help them engage confidently in learning.
  • Adapt and respond to the diverse needs of students as required across different areas of the school.
  • Assist the teacher in maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Offer suitable interventions to promote pupils’ personal and academic progress.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with teaching staff.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN or behavioural needs.
  • Confidence in classroom management and an adaptable approach to support.
  • A strong understanding of the primary school curriculum.
  • Flexibility to assist in different areas as required by the school.
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
